Grilling - Yakitsuke

A photographic term. There are two methods for printing from an original plate (such as a film that records the image to be printed), contact printing, which produces a print of the same size as the original, and enlargement printing (including enlargement printing), but the former is generally referred to. For contact printing, photographic paper is placed on the projection surface of an enlarger, negatives are arranged on top of it and pressed down with glass (a commercially available contact printer is convenient), and the light source is turned on and off to provide an appropriate amount of exposure, which is then developed. Prints made using this method are commonly known as stick prints or solid prints. Note that there is now a dedicated machine called a contact printing machine (printer), although it is no longer used by anyone other than professionals.

写真用語。原板（焼付けのもとになる画像を記録しているフィルムなど）からプリントするには、原板と同一サイズのものが得られる密着焼付けと、引伸し焼付け（拡大焼付けを含む）の二つの方法があるが、一般には前者をいう。密着焼付けには、引伸し機の投影面に印画紙などを置き、その上にネガなどを並べてガラスで押さえたのち（市販のコンタクトプリンターを使用するのが便利）、光源を点滅して適当な露光を与え現像処理を行う。この方法で得たものを俗に棒焼きまたはべた焼きと称している。なお現在、専門家以外には使われなくなったが、密着焼付け機（プリンター）という専用機もある。
