Japanese: 森[町] - もり

A town in Kayabe-gun, Hokkaido. The town is served by the JR Hakodate Main Line, the Do-o Expressway, National Route 5, and Route 278. Mount Komagatake towers to the east, and Uchiura Bay to the north. The town once prospered through herring and sardine fishing. Scallop farming and greenhouse cultivation using geothermal energy are popular. Hokkaido's first geothermal power plant is located here. In April 2005, Sahara-cho, Kayabe-gun, was incorporated. ^{368.79 km2} . Population: 17,859 (2010).

Forest [town] [mori]

A town in Shuchi County in western Shizuoka Prefecture. The central forest in the south was a settlement at the mouth of the Ota River, and in the Edo period it was a post town on the Akiha Kaido road. The Shin-Tomei Expressway and the Tenryu Hamanako Railway pass through the town. The town is covered with hills and mountains, and is rich in tea, shiitake mushrooms, and timber. It is famous as the place associated with "Mori no Ishimatsu." Area: 133.91 ^km2 . Population: 19,435 (2010).
