[Died] November 14, 1827. New York Irish lawyer. Leader of the United Irishmen. Brother of R. Emmet. Arrested during the 1798 uprising and sent to Holland in 1802. Involved in Napoleon I's plan to invade Ireland in Paris. In 1804, he went to America and became a successful lawyer.

Died September 20, 1803. Irish patriot from Dublin. Brother of T. Emmet. Member of the United Irishmen. Contacted Napoleon I in 1802. In 1803, he attacked the Dublin Government Office, but was captured and hanged.
