A member of the Cervidae family of the even-toed ungulate order. Body length 1.1-1.4m, shoulder height 75-97cm. A beautiful deer with white spots that can be seen in both summer and winter. There are three branches on the antlers, the first of which is relatively long. They live in large herds, sometimes numbering more than 100 animals. They are active in the early morning or evening. They are found in India and Sri Lanka, and live in forested areas.
