Oshima Strait

A strait between the main island of Amami Oshima and Kakeroma Island in the southern part of Kagoshima Prefecture. It is 2 to 5 km wide. The surrounding terrain is a ria coast with many large and small bays, and it is beautifully landscaped and belongs to the Amami Gunto National Park. Koniya in Setouchi Town, located in the southern part of the east coast, is the southern gateway to Amami Oshima. 鹿児島県南部，奄美大島南部の本島と加計呂麻島との間の海峡。幅 2～5km。周辺の地形はリアス海岸で大小多数の湾入があり，風光よく奄美群島国立公園に属する。東岸南部にある瀬戸内町の古仁屋は奄美大島の南の玄関。
