What is the disease?

Japanese (yellow race) buttocks ( Denbu ) This is a birthmark on the buttocks (normal type). Asians almost always have this, and most disappear by the age of 5 or 6. Sometimes it can appear on the limbs or trunk ( Ectopic Mongolian spots ( Ishosei Mokohan ) ), this type tends to be harder to erase than the regular type.

The skin condition is typical and can be diagnosed by appearance.

Treatment methods

Most of the normal type will disappear naturally, so just monitor the progress. Ectopic type may not disappear even if it grows, so if it bothers you, laser treatment (Q-switched ruby ​​laser, Q-switched alexandrite laser) may be recommended.

What to do if you notice an illness

It is common to allow the lesion to progress naturally, but if it is ectopic and you are concerned about its appearance, consider laser treatment and consult with a facility that has lasers.

どんな病気か

　日本人（黄色人種）の臀部(でんぶ)（おしり）に生まれつきある青あざです（通常型）。黄色人種にはほぼ必ずあり、ほとんどが5～6歳で消えます。時に四肢や体幹部などにできる場合があり（異所性蒙古斑(いしょせいもうこはん)）、このタイプは通常型より消えにくい傾向があります。

　皮膚の状態が典型的なので、見た目の診断でわかります。

治療の方法

　通常型はほとんどが自然に消えるのでそのまま経過をみます。異所性のタイプは成長しても消えにくい場合があり、気になるならレーザー（Qスイッチルビーレーザー、Qスイッチアレキサンドライトレーザー）治療がよいでしょう。

病気に気づいたらどうする

　自然経過をみるのが一般的ですが、異所性で見た目が気になる場合はレーザー治療を考え、レーザーを設置している施設で相談してください。
