Sea fan (Padina arborescens)

A brown algae of the Dictyogramma order and Dictyogramma family. The algae are leaf-like, leathery, thick, and fan-shaped with concentric lines. As it ages, it splits vertically. It grows in colonies in tide pools near the low tide line. Various types of algae grow on the surface of this algae. 褐藻類アミジグサ目アミジグサ科の海藻。藻体は葉状，革質で厚く，扇形，同心円状に筋が入っている。古くなると縦に裂ける。低潮線に近いタイドプールに群生する。この藻の表面には種々の藻が着生する。
