A poet from the Hijaz region of the Arabian Peninsula during the Umayyad Dynasty. Born to a wealthy family of the prestigious Quraysh tribe of Mecca. Reflecting the prosperous and prosperous times of Mecca and Medina, he became a spokesman for the educated and intellectual people who were just beginning to take shape, and also promoted the new ghazal style of poetry that incorporated the subtleties of love in his poetry. He rarely described the desert, but instead sang of city-dwelling noblewomen and women who gathered on pilgrimages, and amazed the world with his love poems. [Masaru Horiuchi]
