A former town in Kanra County in the southwest of Gunma Prefecture. It occupies Mt. Myogi and its eastern foothills. Kamitakada, in the center, developed as a temple town for Myogi Shrine, and produces konjac, rice, and shiitake mushrooms. It is home to Myogisan Onsen.
