Caragiale
Romanian playwright. While working as a newspaper reporter, he published socially satirical short stories and plays. He was persecuted for his critical spirit and fled to Berlin in his later years. "The Lost Letter" is a comedy depicting the behavior of corrupt politicians. Other works include "A Stormy Night".
