Also called "streaks." A type of defect in glass products, these are inhomogeneous parts that appear in the glass as thin lines, stripes, or bands. They are caused by insufficient mixing of the raw materials, failure to adjust the melting temperature, erosion of the refractory material, and uneven cooling during annealing.
