Japanese: 南足柄[市] - みなみあしがら

A city in western Kanagawa Prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1972. It occupies the northeastern foot of the Hakone outer rim and the alluvial plains of the Kari River. The foot of the mountain is rich in groundwater, and since a film factory was established here in the early Showa period, related factories have been established and housing has developed there. Cultivation of mandarin oranges, kiwis, and flowers (persimmons) is thriving. Saijoji Temple is located on the mountainside of Myojin-ga-take in the south. The Izu-Hakone Railway Daiyuzan Line runs through the city. 77.12 ^km2 . Population: 44,020 (2010).

神奈川県西部の市。1972年市制。箱根外輪山の北東麓と狩川の沖積地を占める。山麓は地下水が豊富で，昭和初期にフィルム工場が立地して以来，関連工場の立地と宅地化が進んだ。ミカン，キウイ，花卉(かき)などの栽培が盛ん。南の明神ヶ岳山腹には最乗寺がある。伊豆箱根鉄道大雄山線が通じる。77.12km²。４万4020人（2010）。
