Born: November 13, 1899 in Shizuoka [Died] May 4, 1972. A businessman from the Showa period. After graduating from Tokyo Imperial University, he joined the Japanese Communist Party and worked at the Industrial and Labor Research Institute. In 1927, he was sent to the Comintern's Far Eastern Politburo as a representative of the Japanese Communist Party and participated in the establishment of the Wuhan government in China, but was arrested in the March 15 Incident in 1928 and converted to Christianity while in prison the following year. In 1940, he founded the Dai Nippon Saisei Paper Company, and after the company was absorbed into a national pulp company, he became its president. He later served as president of Nippon Cultural Broadcasting, Nippon Broadcasting, the Sankei Shimbun, Fuji Television, and other companies.
