Oropendola

...The beak is somewhat elongated and conical, strong and pointed. In the oropendola and cacique species, the base of the beak extends to the forehead, forming a frontal plate. The plumage of the grackle (illustration) and cowbird (illustration) is black or brown, but most are relatively bright, combining black with red, yellow, orange, brown, or chestnut.
