Japanese: 三加茂[町] - みかも

An old town in Miyoshi County, western Tokushima Prefecture. The northern part is a lowland on the south bank of the Yoshino River. It was developed long ago and has remnants of the jori system, through which the Tokushima Line runs. The town produces rice and vegetables, and is involved in agriculture and forestry. Kajiyashiki is a settlement in Taniguchi, which has long been connected to the Iya region. There is a large Kamo camphor tree (a special natural monument). In March 2006, it merged with Miyoshi Town in Miyoshi County to become Higashi Miyoshi Town in Miyoshi County. ^{67.74 km2} . Population: 10,132 (2003).
