A battle between Takeda Shingen and Tokugawa Ieyasu that took place at Mikatahara in Totomi in 1573. Shingen, who planned to go to Kyoto, first invaded Totomi, and instead of attacking the fortified Hamamatsu Castle, he lured Ieyasu's army and Oda Nobunaga's reinforcements to Mikatahara, where he won a great victory.
