A habitation built by humans on a celestial body other than Earth. As an extension of the Apollo program, it is expected that one day a permanent exploration base will be established on the moon, and if such a base develops and permanent residents settle there, it will become a space colony. It is the most popular theme in science fiction, and various colonies are imagined, not only on planets in the solar system but also in other galaxies. In such cases, attention is mainly focused on issues related to the natural environment of the planet and human development technology, as well as political issues that are a direct extension of today's ``North-South problem'' to space.
