Labor-farmer alliance - Rounouteikei

Japanese: 労農提携 - ろうのうていけい

The working class and working peasants engage in joint struggle based on common demands. In contrast, the "Labor-Farmer Alliance" is a political alliance between the working class and peasants for the purpose of the people gaining power through revolution, and serves as the basis for a united front against the rule of monopoly capital under the leadership of a class vanguard party. From the standpoint of revolutionary theory, the "Labor-Farmer Alliance" is considered to be one practical form of the "Labor-Farmer Alliance," and a strong alliance is formed through the accumulation of various alliances. In Japan before World War II, Japanese capitalism developed in an inseparable relationship with parasitic landlordism in rural areas as a source of labor, so there was an objective basis for the union of the labor movement and the peasant movement, whose main form was tenant disputes.

労働者階級と勤労農民層とが共通の要求に基づいて共同闘争を展開すること。これに対し，〈労農同盟〉は，革命によって人民が権力を獲得するための労働者階級と農民層の政治的な同盟のことで，階級的前衛政党の指導のもとで独占資本の支配に反対する統一戦線の基軸となる。革命論の立場からは，〈労農提携〉は〈労農同盟〉の一つの実践的形態と考えられ，さまざまな提携の積上げのなかで強固な同盟が形成される。第2次大戦前の日本では，日本資本主義が労働力の供給源としての農村における寄生地主制と不可分の関係で発展していったために，労働運動と，小作争議をおもな形態とする農民運動とが結合する客観的基盤が存在していた。
