Japanese: 真継家 - まつぎけ

An official from the Sengoku period to the Edo period. He inherited the position of Kodoneri (Lord Chamberlain) of the Kurodo-dokoro (Treasury Office) and controlled the foundries throughout the country. He took the surname Inbe and served as a Hohei-shi (official messenger) during the Shikinen Sengu (periodical rebuilding of the Ise Grand Shrine). His control over the foundries was authoritative, with the Emperor as his backing, but he effectively lost control in 1870 during the Meiji Restoration. His Shinkei documents, which span from the Sengoku period to the early Meiji period, are valuable for research into the organization of foundries and the realities of lower-ranking court nobles.

戦国時代から江戸時代の官人。蔵人所(くろうどどころ)小舎人(こどねり)の職(しき)を世襲し，全国の鋳物師(いもじ)を支配した。伊勢神宮の式年遷宮(しきねんせんぐう)にあたり斎部(いんべ)姓を名乗り，奉幣使(ほうへいし)を務めた。鋳物師に対する支配は天皇を背景とした権威的なものであったが，明治維新期の1870年に実質的な支配を失った。戦国期から明治初年にわたる《真継文書》は，鋳物師の組織や下級公家(くげ)の実態についての研究にとって貴重。
