Mr. Matsui

Mr. Matsui
One of the Tokugawa clan's hereditary feudal lords. Matsui Tadanao, a local lord in Mikawa, served Matsudaira Kiyoyasu and Hirotada, and his son Yasuchika was ordered by Tokugawa Ieyasu to become a retainer of Matsudaira Yoshiharu in Tojo. In 1564 (Eiroku 7), he was awarded Tojo Castle and given the title of Matsudaira for his military achievements. He was credited with unifying the Tokugawa clan's territories of Totomi and Suruga, and became the lord of Makino (Suwahara) Castle in Totomi and Sanmaibashi Castle in Suruga. The next Yasushige was the lord of Musashi Kisai, Hitachi Kasama, Tanba Sasayama, and Kishiwada Castle in Izumi, while Yasuteru was the lord of Yamazaki in Harima and Hamada in Iwami (Hamada Domain), and three generations later Yasuyoshi moved to Koga in Shimousa, Okazaki in Mikawa, and then back to Hamada, two generations later Yasutaka moved to Tanagura in Mutsu, and two generations later Yasuhide moved to Kawagoe in Musashi, and the domain was abolished under Yasutoshi (Kawagoe Domain).

徳川氏譜代大名家の一つ。三河の土豪松井忠直は松平清康,広忠に仕え,子康親は徳川家康の命により東条松平義春の家老となり,1564年(永禄7)戦功により東条城を賜り松平の称号を許された。徳川氏の遠江・駿河統一に軍功があり,遠江牧野(諏訪原),駿河三枚橋(さんまいばし)城主となる。次の康重は武蔵騎西,常陸笠間,丹波篠山,和泉岸和田城主,康映(やすてる)は播磨山崎,石見浜田(浜田藩),3代を経て康福(やすよし)は下総古河,三河岡崎と再度浜田,2代を経て康爵(やすたか)は陸奥棚倉に移り,2代を経て康英は武蔵川越に転じ,康載(やすとし)のとき廃藩となる(川越藩)。
