Two Italian painter brothers active from the middle to the end of the 14th century. They were the younger brothers of the painter Orcagna (real name Andrea di Cione). The years of birth and death of both are unknown. Both were collaborators of their brother and inherited his style. Nardo di Cione's style is less rigorous than Orcagna's, but in the murals of the Strozzi Chapel in the Church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence, he exhibits an elegant style that combines sweet details influenced by Maso di Banco and the Sienese school, and soft chiaroscuro that blends with the colors.
