A town in Mashike County, Hokkaido. It faces the Sea of Japan, to the south of Rumoi City. The main settlement at the end of the Rumoi Main Line is a fishing port that once thrived on herring fishing. In addition to fishing, the town produces rice, fruit, and vegetables. Area: 369.71 km2 .
