A man who brought 1,000 rolls of silk from the capital to Kumano by imperial decree to present to the three Kumano shrines was late because he recited a song of offering at Otonashi no Tenjin Shrine on the way, and was punished by the Ason and tied up. Then Otonashi no Myojin appeared in the form of a shrine maiden, begged the Ason to untie the man's rope, spoke of the virtues of the song, and performed a Kagura dance.
