This is a collection of Chinese poetry and prose by poets of imperial court bureaucracy from the Kanko era (1004-1012) in the mid-Heian period. It was compiled by Takashina Moriyoshi and consists of two volumes. However, the extant copy is missing the beginning and end of the first volume. It is believed to have been compiled around July 1010 to mourn the deaths of Prince Tomohira Shinno, Fujiwara no Korechika, and Oe no Mochitoki, who are among the poets with the highest number of works included, and to commemorate the glory of Chinese literature during Emperor Ichijo's Kanko era, as they all died one after the other between July 1009 and July of the following year. The number of poems extant is 150, with four prefaces, of which about two-thirds are poems for poetry parties, reflecting the frequency of poetry parties held by the Ichijo Emperor. Although typical expressions stand out, there are also many works that express delicate, elegant, and sentimental beauty, such as flowers, birds, the wind, and the moon.
