Born: December 9, 1901. Fiume [Died] June 1, 1938. Paris. Austrian playwright of Hungarian descent. He spent his youth in Hungary, Austria and Germany, went into exile in Switzerland in 1938 and died in an accident in Paris. In works such as Tales from the Vienna Woods (1931), he dramatized the conflict between consciousness and unconsciousness using the everyday life of ordinary people.
