Ryusuke Miyazaki

National Socialist activist. Born in Kumamoto Prefecture as the eldest son of Miyazaki Torazo (Toten). While studying at the Faculty of Law of Tokyo Imperial University, he formed the Shinjinkai with Akamatsu Katsumaro and others. He graduated in 1920 (Taisho 9) and became a lawyer. In 1926, he married Yanagihara Byakuren, a poet who had separated from mining magnate Ito Den'emon. In 1926, he participated in the formation of the Social Democratic Party and became a central committee member. He ran in the first general election but was defeated. Thereafter, he was active in the All-Japan People's Party, the National Mass Party, the National Labor-Farmer Mass Party, and the Social Mass Party. In 1933 (Showa 8), he withdrew from the proletarian movement and turned to the nationalist movement. When the Second Sino-Japanese War broke out in 1937, he attempted to negotiate with the Nationalist government as a secret emissary of Prime Minister Konoe, but was arrested just before traveling to Japan. In 1939, he joined the Tohokai. After the war, he joined the National Alliance for the Protection of the Constitution in 1954. He also worked hard on the 90th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen's birth. He passed away while preparing to publish the "Complete Works of Miyazaki Toten."

国家社会主義運動家。宮崎寅蔵（滔天(とうてん)）の長男として熊本県に生まれる。東京帝国大学法学部在学中、赤松克麿(かつまろ)らと新人会を結成。1920年（大正9）卒業し、弁護士となる。21年炭鉱王伊藤伝右衛門と別れた歌人の柳原白蓮(やなぎはらびゃくれん)と結婚。26年、社会民衆党の結成に参加し中央委員となる。第1回普通選挙に立候補したが落選。以後、全国民衆党、全国大衆党、全国労農大衆党、社会大衆党などで活動。33年（昭和8）無産運動から退き民族主義運動に走る。37年日中戦争の勃発(ぼっぱつ)に際し、近衛(このえ)首相の密使として国民政府と交渉しようとしたが渡航直前に逮捕される。39年東方会に入る。戦後、54年（昭和29）憲法擁護国民連合に参加。また孫文生誕九十周年事業に尽力。『宮崎滔天全集』の刊行準備中に死去。
