Adjuvant - Hojozai (English spelling)
Substances added to maintain or enhance the efficacy of the active ingredients of pesticides or to make application easier are called adjuvants. Examples of adjuvants include emulsifiers, solvents, and decomposition inhibitors that are mixed with pesticide ingredients during the formulation process, carriers such as clay minerals and lime carbonate that are added to wettable powders and dusts, as well as spreading agents and adhesives.
