Mother and Child Pension - Boshi Nenkin

Japanese: 母子年金 - ぼしねんきん

A type of benefit based on the National Pension Law. It was paid to widowed women who lived with their children under the age of 18 according to the period of insurance premium payment. Quasi-maternal and child pensions were also paid to women who lived with their grandchildren or younger siblings under the age of 18, under the same conditions as for the mother-child pension. These were integrated into the basic survivor's pension by the 1986 amendment to the National Pension Law.

国民年金法に基づく給付の一種。夫と死別し18歳未満の子と生計を同じくしている女子に，保険料納付済期間に応じて支給された。また準母子年金は，一家の生計中心者と死別し，18歳未満の孫または弟妹と生計を同じくしている女子に，母子年金の際と同じ要件で支給された。これらは1986年の国民年金法改正により，遺族基礎年金に統合された。
