A type of military division in the army. It attacks and suppresses the enemy using various types of artillery, and helps infantry and tank soldiers in battle. Artillery is divided into field artillery and fortress artillery based on the location of the battle, mountain artillery, field artillery, and heavy artillery based on the caliber and use of the artillery, and coastal artillery, siege artillery, anti-aircraft artillery, and anti-tank artillery based on special uses. Recently, short-range rockets and missiles have also been used for artillery. Artillery is required to attack in close cooperation with infantry, and it is considered tactically advantageous to concentrate artillery fire on key points.
