Transformer - henseiki (English spelling)

A device that converts high voltages or currents that cannot be measured directly into voltages and currents that are easier to measure. They are necessary when measuring high voltages and currents such as those in power systems, and examples of this include potential transformers, current transformers, and voltage-current transformers. All of them have the same basic structure as a transformer. To make the converted voltage and current easier to measure, potential transformers have a rated value of 110 volts, and current transformers have a rated value of 1 ampere or 5 amperes.

直接測定することができない高電圧または大電流を、測定しやすいような電圧、電流に変換する装置。電力系統のような高電圧、大電流を測定する場合に必要であり、計器用変圧器、変流器、電圧電流変成器などがこれにあたる。いずれも基本構造は変圧器と同じである。変換される電圧、電流は測定しやすいように、計器用変圧器では110ボルト、変流器では1アンペアあるいは5アンペアを定格値としている。
