Also known as the moose. In North America it is called a moose, and in Europe it is called an elk (illustration). It is a large deer with huge palm-shaped antlers that can reach a length of 2 meters. It is the largest of all mammals in the Cervidae family of the artiodactyla order, with a body length of 240-310 cm, shoulder height of 140-235 cm, tail length of 5-12 cm, and weight of 200-825 kg. Its upper lip is wide and developed to cover the lower jaw, giving it a head (face) that is more reminiscent of a horse than a deer. Its body color can be dark brown, reddish brown, or gray brown.
