Besselian year

Taking into account the effect of aberration, the beginning of the solar year is the moment when the mean right ascension of the sun reaches 18:40 or 280°, and since it is the same regardless of the location of the longitude, it is used to calculate the positions of celestial bodies. In modern times, the beginning of the Bessel year coincides well with the actual New Year's Day, and the time is expressed in decimal units of years.
