Betta
A fish of the family Acanthodidae. Length 6cm. Native to Thailand. Widely kept as a tropical fish. Comes in a variety of colors, including red, blue, white, and purple, and has beautifully developed fins. Males with territories have the tendency to fight until their opponent falls. Taking advantage of this tendency, fighting fish are very popular in Thailand.
