An old village in Tagata County, facing Suruga Bay in the northern part of the Izu Peninsula, Shizuoka Prefecture. Toda Port in the center is one of the prefecture's leading deep-sea fishing bases. There is a beach and a public lodging facility. It is known as the place where a replacement ship for Putyatin's ship, the Diana, which sank in 1854, was built. Regular ferry service from Numazu Port, bus service from Shuzenji. Incorporated into Numazu City in April 2005. 34.92 km2 . 4,131 people (2003).
