… In general terms, it means tests to check liver function, but in clinical medicine it means “a group of serum and urine biochemical tests used in routine medical practice and health checkups to check for the presence or absence of liver damage,” and does not include physical tests or special tests used to diagnose liver disease. Also, even if a test is related to liver function, tests that are usually used to diagnose other diseases are not included in liver function tests.
