Hexokinase

EC 2.7.1.1. An enzyme that catalyzes the phosphorylation of many D -hexoses and their derivatives by the following reaction:

D -Hexose + ATP

D -Hexose 6-phosphate + ADP

It is found in microorganisms such as bacteria, yeast, and filamentous fungi, as well as in higher plants and animal tissues, and has been crystallized from yeast. D -glucose, D -fructose, D -mannose, 2-deoxy- D -glucose, and D -glucosamine are generally used as substrates, while D -xylose, D -lyxose, 6-deoxy- D -glucose, and N -acyl- D -glucosamine competitively inhibit the enzyme action. In the case of yeast preparations, activity against nucleotides was shown to decrease in the following order: ATP, deoxy-ATP, ITP, UTP, CTP, and GTP. Enzyme activity is enhanced by Mg2 ⁺ and inhibited by SH reagents and alloxan. [CAS 9001-51-8]

EC 2.7.1.1．下記の反応により，多くのD-ヘキソースおよびその誘導体のリン酸化を触媒する酵素である．

　　　D-ヘキソース ＋ ATP

D-ヘキソース6-リン酸 ＋ ADP　　　

細菌，酵母，糸状菌のような微生物，高等植物および動物組織に含まれ，酵母から結晶化された．基質として，一般にD-グルコース，D-フルクトース，D-マンノース，2-デオキシ-D-グルコース，D-グルコサミンが用いられ，D-キシロース，D-リキソース，6-デオキシ-D-グルコース，N-アシル-D-グルコサミンはきっ抗的に酵素作用を阻害する．ヌクレオチドに対する活性は，酵母標品の場合，ATP，デオキシ-ATP，ITP，UTP，CTP，GTPの順で減少することが示された．酵素活性は Mg^2＋ によって高められ，SH試薬，アロキサンによって阻害される．[CAS 9001-51-8]
