Plains Province - Heigensho (English spelling) Ping yuan shěng

Japanese: 平原省 - へいげんしょう（英語表記）Píng yuán shěng

The name of an old province in China. It was established in 1949 based on the former Jilin-Luyu (Hebei, Shandong, Henan) Liberated Area. It is named after one of the anti-Japanese base areas formed in the Jinji-Luyu border area during the Anti-Japanese War, and includes the bordering areas of southern Hebei, northern Henan, and southwestern Shandong. In other words, in terms of the current railway, it is the area east of the Jingguang Line (Beijing - Guangzhou), west of the Jinghu Line (Beijing - Shanghai), south of the Shijiazhuang Line (Shijiazhuang - Dezhou), and north of the Longhai Line (Lianyungang - Lanzhou), running north and south along the current Yellow River.

中国の旧省名。1949年もとの冀魯予(河北･山東･河南)解放区に基礎をおいて設置した。これは抗日戦争中の晋冀魯予辺区に形成されていた抗日根拠地の一つに由来するもので，河北省南部，河南省北部，山東省南西部の互いに境を接しあっている地区を含む。つまり現在の鉄道でいえば京広線(北京～広州)以東，京滬（けいこ）線(北京～上海)以西，石徳線(石家荘～徳州)以南，隴海（ろうかい）線(連雲港～蘭州)以北の現黄河河道南北の地域である。
