[Floriculture]
Floriculture is a branch of horticulture that cultivates and utilizes plants for ornamental purposes. Although the term "floriculture" refers to flowers, it does not only mean herbaceous plants, but also includes flowering trees, garden trees, wild plants, and sometimes even some fruit trees and vegetables. It also extends beyond the appreciation of cut flowers and potted plants to include techniques for creating small flower beds and gardens, and more recently includes fresh flowers and Western-style floral decorations.
