Japanese: 植木玉厓 - うえきぎょくがい

1781-1839 A poet and rhapsody writer from the late Edo period.
Born in the first year of Tenmei. Younger brother of Fukuhara Hasui. A shogunate official. Studied at the Shoheiko Academy and was associated with Koga Seiri and Nomura Koen. Known for "Chushingura Rhapsody Collection" included in the collection of rhapsodies "Hankasanjin Shisho." Died on November 4, 1830, at the age of 59. His real surname was Fukuhara. His given names were Tobi, Tatsumi, and Akira. His nicknames were Koken and Kyogaku. He was commonly known as Yasaburo. His other pen names were Ranpo and Keiri. His mad name was Hankasanjin.

天明元年生まれ。福原灞水(はすい)の弟。幕臣。昌平黌(しょうへいこう)にまなび,古賀精里,野村篁園(こうえん)らとまじわる。狂詩集「半可山人詩鈔」におさめた「忠臣蔵狂詩集」で知られる。天保(てんぽう)10年11月4日死去。59歳。本姓は福原。名は飛,巽,晃。字(あざな)は子健,居晦。通称は八三郎。別号に鑾峰,桂里。狂号は半可山人。
