A resort city in southeastern Florida, USA. Population 68,000 (1990). Located west of Palm Beach on the Atlantic Ocean, it faces Lake Worth. It was developed in 1893 as a commercial district of Palm Beach. Since the establishment of the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, research, development, and production of aviation and electronic parts have flourished.
