A suburban city in north-central France, adjacent to the southwest of Paris. Population 102,000 (1990). The north borders the Bois de Boulogne and is an upscale residential area. In contrast, the southern area from Ile de Seguin to the right bank of the Seine is home to a vast area of Renault's automobile factories, making it a major center of the French automobile industry. There are also aircraft manufacturers and electrical machinery assembly plants, and industrial districts have formed along the Seine.
