Upper Volta - Kamiboruta

…the former name of Burkina Faso, a landlocked country in western Africa. It is also called Upper Volta, and in English it is called Upper Volta. It was colonized by France in the late 19th century, and like many other former French African countries, it gained independence in 1960.
