Flanagan
An American Catholic priest of Irish origin. He built a workers' hotel in Nebraska to help those who were unemployed due to the poor wheat harvest. In 1917, he built Boys Town in Omaha, Missouri to help orphans, abandoned children, and poor children and to provide them with an education. He visited Japan immediately after World War II and contributed to measures to support war orphans and homeless children.
