A dressmaking tool, a Japanese word derived from chalk. It is used to mark fabric. It comes in flat triangular or square shapes, as well as pencil-shaped shapes, and is available in a variety of colors. Imported chalk with a high wax content is called wax chalk, and is used for marking industrial three-dimensional cuts, as the marks are difficult to remove.ChacoPlease see the Gran Chaco page.
