In the last quarter of the 18th century, Russian composers such as Vasili Alekseevich Pashkevich (c. 1742-97), Evstignei Ipatovich Fomin (1761-1800), Bortniansky, Ivan Evstaf'evich Khandoshkin (c. 1747-1804), and Maksim Sozontovich Berezovskii (1745-77) produced many excellent works of Russian opera, chamber music, and religious music.
