Flavian dynasty

The Flavian family ruled the Roman Empire in the second half of the 1st century. From 69 to 96. Vespasian (reigned 69-79) of the Flavian family, who put an end to the civil war following the death of Emperor Nero and the end of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, was welcomed as head of state, and during his reign the legal system was established and the bureaucracy developed. His eldest son Titus (reigned 79-81), who succeeded him, ruled well and was praised as "the favorite of mankind." However, his second son Domitian (reigned 81-96) was assassinated due to his tendency to reign with terror.

1世紀後半のローマ帝国を支配したフラウィウス家Flaviiの帝室。69‐96年。ネロ帝の死によるユリウス･クラウディウス朝の断絶に続く内乱を収拾したフラウィウス家のウェスパシアヌス(在位69‐79)は元首に迎えられ，その治世には法制が整えられ，官僚制も進展した。彼の後を継いだ長子ティトゥス(在位79‐81)は善政をしいて〈人類の寵児〉とたたえられたが，次子ドミティアヌス(在位81‐96)は恐怖政治に傾いたので，反感をかい暗殺された。
