A town in Hiyama County, Hokkaido. It is located to the east of Esashi Town. The wide mountainous area of the Atsutabe River basin is covered with Japanese cypress forests. Agriculture is the main industry, producing rice, potatoes, soybeans, adzuki beans, radishes, etc. The area is 460.58 km2 . The population is 4,409 (2010).
