Japanese: ブッシュバック - ぶっしゅばっく（英語表記）bushbuck

A mammal of the bovidae family in the order Artiodactyla (illustration). A medium-sized antelope native to Africa that prefers to live in thickets and brush near water. The males are dark brown to black with white markings, while the females are reddish brown. Males have horns 35-64 cm long. They are found in sub-Saharan Africa, from the plains to about 4,000 m above sea level. They are 105-150 cm long, 65-110 cm high at the shoulder, 20-28 cm long at the tail, and weigh around 50 kg. They can skillfully weave their way through tangled vines. They are also good swimmers, often entering the water, and some live on small islands.

偶蹄目ウシ科の哺乳類（イラスト）。水辺近くのやぶや茂みに好んですむアフリカ産の中型のアンテロープ。体色は雄は暗褐色から黒色で，白の斑紋があり，雌は赤みを帯びた茶色。雄には長さ35～64cmの角がある。サハラ以南のアフリカの平地から海抜4000mくらいまでに分布。体長105～150cm，肩高65～110cm，尾長20～28cm，体重50kg前後。絡みあったつる植物の間を巧みにぬって進むことができる。泳ぎもうまく，しばしば水に入り，小さな島にすみついているものもある。
