Phrynocephalus

...They live on trees near water and will jump into the water if threatened. Small species are Phrynocephalus , of which about 40 species are known from the lower Volga region to Pakistan and the Arabian Peninsula. Some species are as small as 10 cm in length and live in wastelands and desert sands. Most agamas are carnivorous, feeding on insects and spiders, but some are omnivorous or herbivorous.
