A layered intrusion in the Transvaal Province of South Africa. It is a vast mass with an area of 67,000 km2 (460 km east-west, 245 km north-south) and a thickness of over 7,000 m. It was once thought to be a single layered intrusion, but is now thought to be a collection of five layered intrusions. It dates back 2.05 billion years. The Bushveld layered intrusion intruded almost conformably into the Precambrian Transvaal System (2.2 billion years ago), and caused significant contact metamorphism in the Transvaal System.

南アフリカ共和国のトランスバール州にある層状貫入岩体。分布面積6万7000km2(東西460km，南北245km)，厚さ7000m以上に達する膨大なものである。昔は単一の層状貫入岩体と考えられていたが，現在では五つの層状貫入岩体の集合したものと考えられている。貫入の時代は20.5億年前。ブッシュフェルト層状貫入岩体は，先カンブリア時代のトランスバール系(22億年前)中にほぼ整合的に貫入しており，トランスバール系に顕著な接触変成を与えている。
